Terms of service
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who we are
InterviewGrey is a trading name of Carl Cook, of Buckingham, MK18, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [email protected]. By using InterviewGrey you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What the service is
InterviewGrey is a practice tool. You give it a CV and a job advert. It uses artificial intelligence to build an interview profile, ask you interview questions and give feedback on your typed answers.
It is practice, not advice. It does not guarantee that you will get an interview or a job, and it is not professional careers, employment or legal advice.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to use InterviewGrey. By using it you confirm that you are.
4. AI output
The questions, profile and feedback are generated by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular employer. Treat them as suggestions and use your own judgement. You are responsible for what you do with them, including anything you say in a real interview.
5. Your content
“Your content” means the CV, job details and answers you give us.
- It stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you: to read it, send it to our AI provider, generate your interview and feedback, and keep it for the short period set out in our privacy notice.
- Only upload a CV that is yours, or one you have permission to use. Please don't include more than you need. Date of birth, home address, health details and similar sensitive information are not needed and are best removed first.
- We don't use your content to train AI models. The privacy notice explains what our AI provider does with it.
6. Using the service properly
Please don't:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to upload content you have no right to use;
- try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access other people's sessions;
- use automated tools to send requests or copy the service;
- use InterviewGrey during a real interview or assessment to get answers in a way the employer or assessor forbids. It is for preparing beforehand.
We may limit or block use that breaks these rules or puts the service at risk.
7. Limits and availability
The service is currently free and offered as an early version. We may change it, add limits (for example a daily cap on use) or pause it. Sessions are deleted automatically after 14 days, so save anything you want to keep (the analysis page has a “Save analysis” option).
We work to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price and what is included before you pay.
8. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that can't be limited, including our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude.
Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for loss of a job or job opportunity, which depends on many things outside our control. Because this is a free service for personal use, we are not responsible for business losses.
9. Our rights in the service
The InterviewGrey name, logo, website and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for your own preparation. You may not copy or resell it.
10. Your personal information
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy notice.
11. Changes and ending
We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we'll say so on the site. You can stop using the service at any time and delete your session using the Delete button. We may stop offering it, or end your access if you break these terms.
12. Complaints and the law
If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
